You can now kit your Xbox Avatar out in your favourite teams jersey from either NBA 2k10 or NBA Live 10. They both cost the same at 240 points, and from what we can see the only difference between them is that the 2k10 versions have the numbers on them were as the live versions only have the team names. A bit of a fail for NBA Live and a 1 up for NBA 2k10 we think.

Fallout 3 is the latest game to have new gear released for your Xbox Avatar.

The new kit is released on Thursday 26th. The best item available for your Xbox Avatar has to be the full Vault 101 suit – which will cost you 240 points.

A couple of new games added to the Xbox Marketplace recently. There are a total of 28 items for Assassin’s creed, and 20 items for DJ Hero.

The Xbox Avatar items for Assassins creed range from face masks, through to full altair outfits and even Da Vinci’s Flying Machine! View the Assassins creed range here.

For DJ Hero there is everything from Mixing Decks, Records and Ghetto Blasters through to jumpsuits and t-shirts for your Xbox Avatar. You can check out the DJ Hero range here.

Possibly the most anticipated game of the year, and only 5 days till release!! Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2!! If you cant wait until then to get your fix of COD, then why not kit your Xbox Avatar out with some of the new items available from the Avatar Marketplace.

Included are a handful of different Tees, a few caps, Ghost uniform and a UAV prop!

Disruptive Media have announced a new range of nearly 400 apparel for you Xbox Avatar. The range covers over 30 universities and contains items from wrist bands for 40 points through to varsity jackets for 250 points. There are still lots of uni’s that are not covered at the minute but they have said they have plans for expansion.

There seems to be quite a few paid xbox avatar items being released recently, and we have now seen the start of the xbox avatar awards being released. Hopefully this is a good sign that the developers have realised that people are interested in the items for their avatar and will start releasing more avatar awards!

Halloween is just around the corner, and it looks like Microsoft is keen for you to get your Xbox Avatars joined in with the festive period.

They have just released 26 new Halloween themed costumes and props for your Xbox Avatar, ranging from a crown and princess costume (WTF??), through to a Werewolf Costume and even a Cauldron Prop.

All sounds good, until you look at the prices! Looks like Microsoft is playing more of a Trick than a Treat this year, with complete costumes coming in at 240 points, props at 240 points, and hats at 80 points!

Microsoft have just released a few more Xbox Avatar goodies, this time for Mass Effect. It seems that they are releasing quite a few paid Avatar items at the minute, but theres not much news on the Xbox Avatar Awards front :

As you may or may not know its the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle this weekend. However for all you Penny Arcade fans, that cant (or cant be bothered) to go to the expo, you can award your Xbox Avatar with new kit from the Xbox Marketplace. Theres 15 shirts for only 80 points each, and 2 hats, 1 for 80 points and the other for 160 points.

I have had quite a few people moaning about the lack of Xbox Avatar Awards on this site. Obviously Xbox Avatar awards are only in Beta stage at the minute, and not top priority on developers lists. Dont worry though. As soon as we get more Xbox Avatar Awards, we will let you know exactely what they are, and where you can get them!

Just as the new DLC arrives for the Xbox 360, they also release 15 new items for your Xbox Avatar for you to have fun with. The items range from 80 point baseball caps, through to 320 point suits of N7 armor.

I have had a few people email me recently asking how they can get Xbox Avatar clothing and props for free. Firstly I have pointed them to the Xbox Avatar Awards section of the site, assuming that they meant how can they unlock the Xbox Avatar clothing.

However on all occassions except one, they have then replied asking how they can get the paid Xbox avatar clothing for free. Now, if you look around the net, you can find several tutorials and video guides on how to unlock the paid items for free, however I would not recommend that anyone use any of these guides.

Firstly the guides were written before the last Xbox live update which will have almost certainly fixed it. Even if it hasnt been fixed, Microsoft keep a record of all your online purchases, so what do you think they are going to do when they see you have bought no Xbox Avatar clothing, yet your avatar has every piece of clothing…you guessed it…Xbox Live BAN!

Surely the award for most pointless ‘hack’ has to go to the person who discovered how to do this. I mean, what is the point in having an Xbox Avatar, when you cant go on Xbox Live?

as well as this, I know that the Xbox avatar clothing can be very expensive (yes we mean the new items with 240 and 320 point price tags!), but this is probably illegal, and almost certainly against any Microsoft terms and conditions!

Like I said, I do not recommend this at all. Please just stick to unlocking the Xbox Avatar Awards to get your free items, or if you are desperate enough, then go ahead and hand over your Xbox points.
